My Biography

Who I am?

My name is Jack. I'm a genuine true blue individual. What you see is what you get kind of person. As a high school grad who got tossed into the jaws of life by needs of survival, I have made it pretty well to this point, figuratively speaking. At 17, my senior year, I was looking for a full time job and a place to sleep. I had all the desire in the world to want to go to college, but with a low GPA, and possible self-esteem issues in the day, it was more far fetched than imaginable.

What I like...

I enjoy all forms of sports, from any form of team competition to individual venues. It's the desire that you have to feel, to like what you do or watch. Also enjoyed is fishing, camping, wakeboarding/waterskiing, snowboarding/snow skiing, motocross riding, walks on the beach in in the forest and working in the yard.

What I've done...

This is the part that gets to the point of this site.

Starting in the grocery store business as my first job, I progressively moved forward into more rewarding or gratifying positions. It was hard to find both in one, but I kept a positive attitude regardless.

I had gotten hired at a steel warehouse, not a bad gig for an eighteen year old making $10.00/hour 20 years ago. This was a fun and a slightly rewarding position. It was kind of dirty, but I was working with something that the foundation of the US and what most commerce was derived from back in the day. Going back to Pittsburg, PA., this was the stuff of the steelers. It was heavy, it had a distinct aroma about it, it was cold or hot depending on the time of year. Our ships, trains, tanks and skyscrapers are built of this ore, it was simple, yet amazing.

After being involved in a hit and run accident, I was forced to have back surgery which had taken me out of the steel light, and thrown me back to survival mode. With several weeks of manipulation and therapy for getting to a point of mobility, I was ready. With no real extended education, I was forced to use what I had, a lawn mower, edger and yard tools. Funny huh? Well it took two years to settle the law-suit from the accident. By this time I had lost almost everyhting I had.
